Rond de drassige moerassen van het Scheld- en Denderland,
waar donkere bossen het vlakke land sieren,
daar leeft de schrik van de mens

BIOGRAPHY
It was in the year 2001 when Uglúk and Snoodaert first got together to share their musical ideas.
By a mutual interest in black metal, they formed a band with conceptual themes based on local folklore.
Some songs were composed under the name KLUDDE.
In November of the following year, the ‘Langs Scheld- en Denderland…’ demo was self released and got great response.
It contained six tracks inspired by bands such as Burzum, Satyricon, Mayhem, Arckanum and Darkthrone…
In 2003 the demo was re-released on tape by Nightmare Productions from Portugal.
The same year Kludde signed a pact with underground label NephereX.
That autumn a split CD with our blackened doom brothers Wanhoop was recorded.
‘De Verdoken Waarheid’ was released in Februari 2004.
The music is more straight forward than the previous release.
Besides the furious and chaotic arrangements, doom parts were introduced.
A demo version of ‘De Paardenneukeraar’ appeared as an exclusive track on ‘The Lugbúrz Compilation Part III’ in 2005 and showed a more perverted and sick side of Kludde whilst clinging on to a dismal atmosphere.
Nowadays Kludde experiments with new elements from various genres, mixing up old school black metal with modern influences, resulting into a modern sounding groovy style blended with sludgy doomscapes while still retaining the old school feel.
‘In den Vergetelheid...’ was recorded mixed and mastered at CCR Studio by Kris Belaen in November 2007, and released by Sandstorm.
