Magazine -wise: Ol'Skool Rodz,Car Kulture Deluxe, Barracuda, Varla, Shape, and Glamour. I read way too much (is there such a thing?) the books that changed my life include the Dirt, Tis' Herself,How to Make love like a Porn Star: a Cautionary tale, and the Bible. Personally I write, but I'm not finished with my project, and haven't felt inspired as of late to work on it. Writer's block can be a bitch. I love biographies and history, especially ancient Rome. I am fascinated by how far the human race has come in the past centuries, and I love learning about other cultures, both modern and ancient. Anything by Charlaine Harris. A big fan of biographies, textbooks, (esp anatomy or language). I want to read Dante's Inferno in Latin before I die. I have a collection of pre 1950 books that I inherited & purchased, they're amongst my most cherished possessions.
Mom. For showing utter resilience and strength regardless, and for simultaneously being the most compassionate and accepting person. I proud to descend from her. and this little guy, because he loves so much and asks for nothing back. I love Spencer. .. My great grandmother; Giuseppephina Winscons Romano. She raised 7 boys by herself during the Great Depression (after her husband passed), wore black for thirty years after my great grandfather died, always had a meal cooking, bred canaries, and worked two jobs so that she could put all of her boys through Catholic school. She told off the mob's cronies in her neighborhood (on Spaulding & Chicago Avenue in Chicago) & threatened to tell their mothers if they didn't stop messing with the neighborhood kids. She sent her dog & 6 of her boys to fight in WWII & all her sons came back. To say she is my hero would be a massive understatement.
