The Senticsphere is a metaphysical sphere of emotions that surrounds each individual and consistently rotates, placing that which one most currently and strongly senses in the forefront. The more one understands and acknowledges the root of their sentiments, the greater control they have over their current emotions and in turn, The Senticsphere.
The captivating sound that makes up the Vancouver based rock band, The Senticsphere, is one that blends an array of moods, emotions, rhythms, and melodies. From powerful hard-hitting rock songs that make you want to get up and move, like 'Bring me Down', to those whose ambient textures leave the listener anticipating what is to come, such as 'Hiding away'. This band is doing what they do best; making the listener want MORE!
The Senticsphere emerged from Vancouvers north shore when the paths of three determined musicians with a common dream, to write and share their music with the world, crossed in late 2004.
It was in their rehearsal space that after months of replying to countless classified ads, singer Warren Hall, guitarist Roy Benetti, and bassist Chris Poole began to collaborate in the project that would soon change all of their lives. Having all previously been part of different local bands, the initial experience, creativity and overall chemistry that came with each member was undeniably a driving force in the formation of this band's distinguishable sound and character.
However, the search for a drummer went on for eight more months. In the meantime, the band worked on writing material for the new project. It was not until they heard the fluid and dynamically powerful drumming style of Ontario drummer, Sean Welch, that they knew the melting pot was complete.
Roughly two months into the project with close to a dozen songs to choose from, the band immediately started planning the recording of their debut four-song EP entitled 'Waking the Sun'. It was then that by pure coincidence, the band crossed paths with that of audio engineer Jason Mauza (Foo Fighters, A Perfect Circle, Everclear, Kiss, etc.). Having learned that Jason was an audio engineer, they approached him to ask if he knew anyone who might be interested in recording their EP. Jay went to one of the bands practices and after hearing several of their songs, decided that he would be more than glad to be a part of the project. It was not until they started recording that the band found out about Jason's extensive recording career with some of the who's who in the industry.
Since the release of 'Waking the Sun' the band has played numerous shows at some of the cities top venues alongside many talented and highly acclaimed acts. They secured distribution with on-line retailers such as cdbaby and itunes, and signed with publisher FileUnderMusic. They received awards on the highly garnered site GarageBand.com for Track of the Day twice over, Best Male Vocals in Hard Rock, and Best Programming in Hard Rock. Their song 'More' has been soundtracked on the 2008 Motorsport DVD 'GazzaNationals' Vol.2 based out of Australia. The Senticsphere is currently playing in the 2008 Emergenza festival and developing a loyal following. The band has started planning their first full length record and an impending tour for the summer of 2008.
Filled with a fire that burns stronger than ever before, The Senticsphere is capturing the eyes and ears of people of all ages and will stop at nothing to get their music out to the world.
