MONGOOSE is made up of 3 guys from Eastvan: Shockk, RC, and Johnny Wildkat. Shockk and Wildkat began the whole thing as a drum machine Metal duo called Gradient Profile. rc made the move from rural to city and the GOOSE was born. The Mongoose is a very community oriented animal much like the band who can’t stop yelling out "east van". The Goose is the natural enemy of the cobra due, in part, to the fact that it has built up an immunity to the cobras venom. Corporae music, cobra venom? you make the parallels as you see fit. It’s speed, agility and huge HEART are the reason the Mongoose can rock, and rock HARD!!!!11!
Mongoose has toured back and forth, ripped a sesh or two, downed a few slippery foes, and still has a shiny coat to show for it.
Mongoose released record 1 on Copperspine Records, a small collective of Vancouver musicians with a community oriented mindset. The latest recording is being put out by Meter Records from Calgary AB.
