About Me


Battle Snakes is as Battle Snakes does.
Battle Snakes is Aaron Battle (ex Billy and the Lost Boys), Violent Jakub (Vonnegut Dollhouse), and Matt L. Snakes (ex BOGART!). Forming in the hot summer of 2008 in the midst of naked parties and epic bicycle gang outings, the boys in Battle Snakes met during an argument over a 180g Stooges vinyl and a case of PBR. An instant bond was formed and late night MC5 and Motorhead listening parties evolved into drunk jam sessions and eventually into a rock n' roll band ready to be covered in sweaty leather and greasy denim. In the short time they've been together they've toured western Canada with Regina friends Hot Blood Bombers and Edmonton rock machine the Get Down, directly supported Seattle rock legends the Supersuckers, new hardcore heroes the Bronx, and self released their five song "Carnal Knowledge" ep. It's rock n' roll with a punk rock soul. It's sex in music. It's Battle Snakes, motherfucker, and they love your pretty face.

Not to brag or anything, but....

In the last couple months, we've played with the Get Down, the Von Zippers, the Bronx, the Jolts, and Knucklehead.  I think we can strike a couple band names off the old wishlist.
