I am a professional musician (guitarist/vocalist)currently living in the Dallas(Texas) area.I am a self taught guitarist(not 1 lesson)who has recieved extensive vocal training(both private, and academic).After numerous auditions I was chosen to perform as lead guitarist for three consecutive seasons at Six Flags Over Texas.There I learned chords I didn't know existed (Thank You Wal-Mart chord poster!).I perform in two bands who call the Dallas/Fort Worth area home.The 1st band is called CRUSH we play a variety of styles(you name it we play it).STEVE bassist/vocalist and I have been gigging together for 5 years in this capacity w/a wide array of accompanying players(w/Paul Brown of Diesel being the best).KISS is my favorite band of all time,and has been since I was 7 years old.The relevance of this statement is that in CRUSH we over time began to perform more and more KISS songs(mostly Paul Stanley tunes), and the audience loved it to the extent that STEVE suggested that we START a KISS tribute band.I thought he was being sarcastic and ignored the idea.Over time STEVE would re-introduce this notion, so I then began to give it more thought.With the idea of portraying Paul Stanley in the most musically accurate tribute possible, I began to look around for a suitable Ace Frehley and Peter Criss.I asked a friend and fellow KISS freak who the best Ace in town was, and he referred me to BOB of Muthalode.With some .. snooping I found out how to contact him and mustered up the nerve to call this guy that I didn't know from Adam.It took some persuading,but this troika began to jam w/any drummer that we could persuade to sit in w/us.Some months later I responded to an ad for a Peter looking for the other three members,this was JOEY.Voila!We began arduous rehearsals for 9 months which consisted of not only focusing on the music but the choreography(and in my case the in between songs stage raps)as well.Then and only then did we release the hounds on an unsuspecting populace.After a series of "DUES PAYING GIGS" the band christened as DESTROYER began to make real headway.In only a year DESTROYER has performed 45 shows in every corner of Texas,and Louisiana to great reviews and satisfied, if not satiated crowds.With all 4 original members of DESTROYER intact(somehow!) the sky is the limit for the band,as we intend to go as far as the public(and Gene and Paul)let us.I am compelled to mention that we have relied upon our crew for support.These unsung heroes consist of Michael Curiel(stage manager,5th member)Kim Polen(webmaster),and David(bald guy)Mcbrayer(costumer).Thank You.I also LOVE my woman, and my dog DAISY.Whew!
