Taking influence from bands such as Kyuss, Soundgarden, Helmet, and Tool, Sedulus play their own brand of dynamic heavy music, with dense riff-based grooves and sprawling swirling musical interludes.Having been back and rocking for about 2 years (after a three year university enforced hiatus), the Sedulus machine has evolved into a grooving stoner beast, with live shows that never fail to impress. As always, the band is writing, rehearsing and gigging hard. They have played some great venues such as the Camden Barfly and the Meanfiddler (the final of Emergenza UK's battle of the bands), and have just released a recording that they hope to unleash on the world this year. With plans to tour and gig as much as possible, and a new recording somewhere on the horizon, 2008 looks good for the band. The music currently available to listen to on myspace is taken from the new album "Dogfight" which can be bought from the band. The band pride themselves on their dedication, friendship and hardwork. With this ethic and an explosive live show, the band aim to establish themselves as an act to remember both on record and live. Coming to a venue near you very soon!Press:"A rare Monday night KBY finds Sedulus putting on an impressive performance, laying down some weighty stoner grooves that defy you to not nod your head in appreciation. The riffs are immense, the vocals powerful, and a few moments of spaced-out introspection only add to their appeal."
Mike Kemp - Rock Sound Jan 2007
(Camden Barfly, 13th November 2006)"Headlining tonite, the Mighty Sedulus storm into action with their fat metal sound. The singers bass positively growls and thunders, and is the corner stone of the bands sound. Guitars provide a thick wall of chord work and riffs. Drums batter away but provide plenty of swishing swirling symbols. There's a gutsy, geared down groove to the songs, and this is one big down tuned assault of a set. The band can be thunderously heavy, and there are some nice thick guitar solos, while songs can take on a dark, menacing quality when the guys really mash things down. A brilliant bulldozer of a band."John Swaine - Neon Promotions
