Jordana knew that she wanted to be a singer from the day her hand first touched a microphone at the tender age of three yrs old. With her mother working at Sony Music and her father in a blues band, music equipment was always around the house, which made it accessible to get her hands on. As the years passed she grew more interest and would perform on her front lawn in front of friends and family.
Jordana was put in dance class at an early age, which helped her to overcome any stage fright. She started writing poetry and songs at 10 yrs old.
Throughout elementary school Jordana was known for performing in the talent contests, teaching other kids dance moves and practicing routines in the school yard.
Her outgoing personality and talented dance skills landed her a spot in the Toronto Raptors Junior Dance Pack. In high school, friends had nicknamed her Spice due to her ethnic mixture, versatility and no -holding -back attitude.
In the year 2000, she formed a duo group called X-Quizite and was in the works of getting signed to a major record label, however, due to unorganized management she decided to leave the group and go solo. Thats when Jordana entered the entertainment scene. With many urban showcases added to her resume she continuously performs at local shows, competitions, open mic sessions and charity events.
Due to her competitive nature she won a streamline of competitions including Footsteps Entertainment Showcase & Competition 2002 where she grabbed first place in the dance category and the singing category. Looking up to many artists such as Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, New Edition, Prince & Mariah Carey, Jordana brings a flavor thats unique. A style that combines soul, R&B, pop music and a blend of alternative jazz.
Jordanas music has already reached airwaves such as Flow 93.5 in 2002 when they debuted her single "Let U Know"; a track about a cheating boyfriend who needs to know its time to go. Through her past experiences and through seeing loved ones go through different phases is what gives Jordana the fuel to write her songs. She is completely involved in the production that is created in recording her songs and hopes to be just as involved when her first video is directed. Jordana's number one goal is to be signed to an international record label that will give her creative freedom while guiding her in the right direction for success.
Keep an eye out for her new single "Go" already playing on local airwaves and Max Traxx.
"I believe God has given me this creative talent to use to my best ability and to share with others. This is what I was destined to do" -Jordana
