Interesting music of the sort that rarely gets radio airplay, Sci Fi (yes I actually go to conventions and sometimes dress up in costumes, it's fun. So there.) Comic books, graphic novels, Monty python, Douglas Adams, art and music, Gothery, surrealism, other interesting things.
I'd like to meet people who are smart and funny, share some common interests with me, the normal stuff. I'm on LiveJournal too, among other sites, I'm normal. -Well, ok I'm not normal, but you know what I mean. eccentric. That's the word I sought. Yes, deeply strange actually. :p but nice. "Silly, but proud" that's my motto.

I love a lot of different genres of music, for a good sampling see the links page on my website, mobiusbandwidth.com/links.html but briefly, my favourites are Kate Bush (who IS God), Big Country (RIP Stuart...), Gary Numan, and a lot of other older bands. Most of the new ones, kinda suck.
the Lathe of Heaven (original 1980 version), Head (the Monkees movie, very surreal, brilliant), Waking life, Spirited away, My dinner with Andre', I love sci fi and animation. Frankly if I'm gonna pay $9 (US) for a cinema ticket, I need spectacle, anything else I can watch on the small screen. I don't see a lot of films lately.
I'm cured of TV. (Broadcast TV that is.) I used to fix the things for a living. my last show was Teen Titans (but they cancelled it). I love Monty Python, Northern Exposure, modern TV is largely crap though, after X files and star trek ended I was free. Dr. Who, I'm big on that... you might say. the original, not the new series. oh crap. I got suckered into watching Heroes and now I'm hooked. bloody hell.
Everything by Douglas Adams, allow me to recommend "Last chance to see" if you can find it. "Please don't sit on the children" is a book everyone should read, along with "the Ethical Slut", a book on polyamory, but a useful book for people in any sort of relationship. I don't make as much time to read as I should. I used to read a lot more. Neil Gaiman, I read him. I've met him a few times, very nice chap. I probably have oh I dunno, a thousand books roughly. you'd think I could name a few more of them. :.. Buscaglia... Stanislaw Lem, ...“It's not enough to have lived. We should be determined to live for something. May I suggest that it be creating joy for others, sharing what we have for the betterment of personkind, bringing hope to the lost and love to the lonely.â€Leo F. Buscaglia 1924-1998
My sister Rae is one of my heroes, cuz she's a working artist (who makes excellent stuff). Donna, who is a survivor, and completely brilliant artist who makes it look easy. Neil Gaiman. The late Leo Buscaglia (my favourite Italian philosopher), Stuart Adamson and John Lennon. My dear friend Joanna, cuz she studies hard and works hard, and doesn't take any guff, and anyone who wants to save the planet is ok by me, many others...
