Celebrity alter ego Steven Ray Morris by day, Existential Hero takes all the insecurities, wonders, doubts, hopes and maybe dreams of that infamous star and filters it into the only way imaginable, into song (and maybe dance).

A Winter's Tale Told In Spring, my third album is here. I toiled on this one for months and nitpicked every detail. think it is the best music I've ever done and I'm very proud of every single song on it. Evan Koehne did the artwork for this one!
Reviews:
"That’s what I like about Steven’s music, he combines delicious alliterative complex rhymes with satisfyingly simple melodies." -JLM
"It was spicy, senor!"-VA at My Little Ghost Friend
"I think this album showcases more of your raw talent than the last... and you are chock full of that, man! I even got the "signifies" hook from fire and brimstone stuck in my head for two days."-Ben Morse
"I think he's really good. He could really make it. He's got talent... He studies film, right? Well, it's always good to have something to fall back on, like a career or a knife."-David Pitts
"I'd recommend Existential Hero to any fans of Santa Barbara's new wave of DIY artists - especially those of you who are already digging on Jellybean, A Lime Tree, Iamb and Jon Crocker - but it's Morris's attention to detail that ultimately helps him stand apart from the aforementioned pack."-Marc Sirdoreus at RetroLowFi
My 4th album. Part self-indulgent and part love song to the lo-fi community I'm obsessed with, Barely Covered is my ode to the songs and artists that inspire me. I did the suggestive artwork in paint.
Reviews:
"Morris gives a bevy of artists the lo-fi treatment here: everyone from Bob Dylan, Beck and the Magnetic Fields to his already lo-fi buddies Jellybean!, Marc with a C and Tinyfolk. That sort of juxtaposition makes every song imperative, and it certainly does justice to both the national and the local artists."-Nicole Sidoreus at RetroLowFi
The new CLLCT Exclusive EP available here , it features 6 songs about the DIY/Lo-Fi artists that inspired me.
My 5th album and the first part of the "New Zealand Trilogy," it mostly focuses on frustration and all its manifestations: ranting, venting, worries, fears, gossip, primal scream, etc.
My 6th album and the second part of the "New Zealand Trilogy," it is an environment to get subsumed in, emotions to contemplate and feelings to ponder.
My 7th album and the final chapter of the "New Zealand Trilogy," aggression and fierce motivation are represented here and the refusal to step down. Everyone has a chance to be great, this is that acceptance of that challenge.
Reviews:
"It's fitting that the albums are dedicated to Heath Ledger, because the New Zealand trilogy is pretty much the DIY equivilent to The Dark Knight. Hotly anticipated all summer, and when it finally comes out, even though it's a bit overlong, it still kicks some major fucking ass."-Patrick Ripoll
