If you would like to know for sure where you will spend eternity, it is a very simple process:
First Realize that you are a sinner and have transgressed God's law.You may have told your brother a lie, but your sin is against God not the person you lied to. Have you ever stolen anything, used the Lords name in vain, have you always put God FIRST in your life? These are only part of the law of God. - Admit that you are a sinner Romans 3:23 Tells us that ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of The LORD.
Second - Understand that for our sins we deserve death. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages of sin is death. Any transgression of God's perfect law and you have in affect broken all of Gods Law.
Third - Repent, which means seeing your sins as God does, exceedingly sinful is the nature of man. There is no way that I or you can keep Gods Law.
The Lord will seek you, but you must answer His call ...
When the Holy Spirit of God convicts you please do not tell Him no. It is heart breaking to see people that have no conviction whatsoever. Those are the ones that I am burdened for, along with the lost that think they are Christians, the so called temporal Christians that have never truely been born again.
