About Me

I am the artist and author of the trade paperback and series of mostly humourous comics called WITCH, first published in the UK and then by Slave Labor Graphics in the US. I have been working as a digital colourist for the popular boy's comic Toxic for the past 5 years: I studied fine art for 4 years and now I colour in snot and poo characters. I also do illustrations if the brief appeals to me. Go to LornaMiller.com
I'm a crafty person who knits and sews and embroiders lovely things. I'm half Lithuanian, half Irish. I was born in the Rottenrow hospital, Glasgow. My real surname is Svelnius, Miller was picked off a list by my great grandpa when he was working down the mines because the bosses couldn't be arsed with the foreign names.I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
"Notwithstanding anything to the contrary elsewhere in myspace, the images and content featured within this myspace site may not be reproduced or exploited by any party without the copyright owner's prior written consent in each instance"

My Interests

I like to grow my own vegetables. Sometimes this involves snail murder. I wouldn't be interested in snail murder if it wasn't for the vegetables. I accidentally fried some tadpoles when I was a child. They were left in a plastic bucket in the hot sun. I was forced to close my tadpole farm after that and the survivors went on to live a happy life in Troon. Some of them didn't look that good though.

I'd like to meet:

Geniuses.

Music:

I like 60's garage punk, Northern Soul, The Ramones, anyone who's dead basically.

Movies:

That film about the guy who lives in the awful ghetto and gets out and becomes a brilliant photographer.
And the one where Johnny Depp plays a drug dealer who gets filthy rich then goes to prison and his whole life falls apart.

Midnight Cowboy
Play it Again Sam

Television:

TAGGART!! (the early shows) (there's been a murrrrrderrrrrrr)
AUF WIEDERSEHEN PET! KENNY EVERETT (in the best possible taste)

Books:

Andrea Levy. Annie Proulx. Flannery O'Connor. The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Nightime by Mark Haddon.
I like to dip into Tolstoy(winter only), Homebuilders Bible, Diana Annual for Girls 1971, The Small Garden: Innovative plans for gardens of all shapes and sizes, The Big Book of Needlecraft and Deformities of the Penis: a colouring in book for all ages.

Why isn't there a comics section? I think it's a major failing of myspace. Soon comics will be obsolete. (What do you mean 'soon'?!?) The only comics I like apart from my own, and sometimes I don't even like them, are HATE by Peter Bagge, Blecky Yuckerella by Johnny Ryan, Maakies by Tony Millionaire and Underworld by Kaz. Comics should be funny. And I'll throttle anyone who disagrees.
