Smiths first celebrity client was soul crooner Teddy Pendergrass soon after Smiths'reputation began to precede him. One day producer extroidinaire Sean Combs was said to be looking for a new barber to cut his hair, after the initial introduction Smith was asked to demonstrate his skills on Bad Boy recording artist .When the finished product was seen , Puffy vowed to never let anyone else cut his hair.That was 10 years ago! To date some of the celebrity hair Smith has cut includes the entire Bad Boy recording artist roster, pop singer Usher, Professional Boxer Roy Jones, Music and television producer and manager to Mariah Carey, Benny Medina and New York Yankees right fielder Gary Sheffield. Curtis artistry is forever documented on the cover of Ushers most recent album "Confessions" in addition to a myriad of music, televison and video shoots Smith served as barber for Sean Johns entire advertising campaign increasing his market value, Smith created his own all natural hair moisturizer aptly titled ' Sweet Jamila. Smith hopes to expand this product into an entire unisex hair care line.A celebrity in his own right, Curtis Smith continues to shape images around the world! Smith has also participated in various hair confrences as an industry speaker and educator. Recently Smith accepted an invitation as a celebrity guest educator to the largest national trade show for the professional beauty industry, Premier Orlando.
