About Me

I am a singer, dancer and voice actor. I teach Afro-Brazilian/Samba and Caribbean dance. My career first began as a vocalist. I have worked with various artists as a background singer in Los Angeles, as well as a lead singer with my own band.Dance became my second love as a child. I studied different forms such as ballet, jazz, tap, and musical theatre. My love for entertaining led me to travel in national and international touring companies, as well as working on Broadway. After moving to Los Angeles, I began dancing again. I studied West African Yoruba, Congolese, Afro-Cuban, Afro-Brazilian, Salsa(Rueda)and Samba. This led me to not only dance Samba professionally, but teach it as well, along with Afro-Brazilian and Caribbean styles. I am also the founder and choreographer of the Latin Dance Group "Na Onda" (www.myspace.com/naonda)I have done much traveling. I've been to Japan six times, parts of Europe, Hong Kong, and Mexico. I'm looking forward to traveling to Cuba, Africa and Brazil very soon to live and study more of the dances and the culture.
