After a brief run-in with the law, Jim was forced to do what he had to in attempts to make a high speed get-a-way. After acquiring a John Deer from a local Latino he knocked back a 12-pack and drove off into the sunset. He was never seen or heard from again. Some say he opened a landscape business, others say he crashed and took off on foot leaving behind a trail of different colored leaves; we in Belmont PL like to believe he made it to that little place one calls home...probably West Virginia.
In the meantime, Angelo and Sergio were looking for a new heathen to fill the spot for Jim-Buk-Tu. A few candidates on probation seemed to fit the mix, but none had the extra umph needed to play in the group. Angelo and Sergio thought they were about to see an end to a legacy when someone on the other side of the Mexican/American border stumbled onto American territory...
His name was Gerry Hernandez. Former roadie and resident mariachi, Gerry had just the mug to blend into BPL's band of men in tights. He came from a world unknown (probably China like every other defective drummer-boy). He had the rhythm of a African American guy combined with the brain of Sergio's boxer, Lucky!
The best thing about him is that he, like the rest of BPL, has acquired a resident alien card and has been cleared through U.S. Customs to play music legally within the United States. And wouldn't luck have it, he could hold a beat on his country's native instrument...a drum!
So after the initiation process (head shaving, Brazilian wax, and numerous Waffle House streakings) he was finally a member of the infamous Belmont PL! And thus we prepare for a new unveiling of a group that is about to take the future by storm and cause all in our way to laugh and dance uncontrollably. We encourage all of you to get ready as BPL is back in studio to re-release a new and better product that the last.
The new EP entitled Better Late Than Never is in the 2nd stage of production and about to be released at a major gathering of all our fans. We encourage you to keep visiting for updates and get prepared for the party of a lifetime! Get ready...BPL is back =)
