Retaliation

About Me

Originating in the city of Tampa, Retaliation birthed as the brainchild of Brent Carlton and Joel Stone in 2005. Its sound was solidified in late 2007; as the addition of its new singer and keyboardist complimented its Prog/power style. After dealing with some internal strife, the latest adjustment included the affixing of bassist Vinny Svoboda and drummer John William.Though progressing through a number of line-up changes and set-backs, the band is constantly maturing and growing musically. With top-notch vibrato singing; superb, skilled drumming; a one-of-a-kind guitar duo playing intricate and technical harmonies as bass guitar complimenting them with solid, precise melodies; and a catchy keyboard, Retaliation yearns to make a statement in the metal community. In 2008, Retaliation opened for numerous national acts such as M.O.D., The Absence, and Behold…The Arctopus. In the near future, the band plans to unveil several new recordings which are currently being produced. Plans for shows in a broader spectrum of cities around Florida, as well as possibly other states, will be fashioned when the opportunity presents itself. For now, one thing is for certain: Retaliation is here to stay.
