Okay so yeah here's the story on how the M1's came into being.
Originally there was a bassist named Jamie Jackson, who wanted to form a ska band. After having a tough time finding someone capable of the ska guitar and a sax, the idea of the Mighty Morphin Skankin Rangers was killed.
Then Jamie had an idea to make a punk band with his friend Conner McDonough. They were talking at his locker one day when an asian named Nick Mulqueen came out of nowhere and said , "I can play drums".
Conner and Jamie looked at each other and say ,"Why the hell not? You're in"
Then after messing around on the eve of rock out the idea came to pass to form a band. Getting our name from a joke we were called the Hostages. We then decided to have two guitarists so we recruited Peter Applebee.
Originally Ben Keen was going to sing but then we discovered Conner could sing so he quit guitar except for 2 songs and Ben was kicked out. Then the first name change occured under threat of a lawsuit. So we became
THE INVALIDS. Then we got threatened to be sued again. So we became
M1 AND THE CYNICS. Then after we played some parties, Conner moved to Colorado. This is where our second singer, Mike Troche, came in. Mike and I(Jamie) wrote about 4-5 songs in about a month. We were a pretty good songwriting team. Mike never got a chance to play a party or anything due to his mom forcing him to move away to New York. So this is where our 3rd singer, Ben Keen, came in. Originally he was in way back. Way way back. So we decided we dont know anyone else. So he came in. But, after careful decision, we replaced Ben with Tiana, Nick's sister. Then it was decided, that in August of 2007, the M1's were no more. After dicking around with Jayce on multiple projects, the M1's decided to join up again, this time with Jayce on rythm guitar. Now we have our strongest lineup ever, and we hope to finish our CD soon......if we feel like it. It only keeps getting better for the M1's, there were some differences between Tiana and the rest of the band, and we decided that it would be better if we went our seperate ways, so now we have a new singer(kinda), want to know who it is?
