About Me

Once upon a time I was in an Los Angeles deathrock band called WRECKAGE from 1988-2001 (thirteen years of wonderful insanity!) and the rumour is that I use to be a 125 year old vampire, but I seriously doubt that ;-) I was a founding member of The Undead Poet's Society and in 1994 had a collection of my poetry published independently. I also ran the record lable WRECKAGE PRODUCTIONS from 1994 - 2001. Then I sold my soul to GHOST TRAIN when I discovered the "spook" in spookabilly and have never been the same cats and kittens! Sadly GHOST TRAIN (please visit the GHOST TRAIN myspace page!) is no more, but the train keeps a rollin'! Contemplating a new music project or perhaps reviving WRECKAGE (a WRECKAGE myspace page is now up and in progress!), but no rush, right? What else would you like to know, hmmm?

My Interests

Classic horror and sci-fi movies (well movies of all kinds too!), all things 50s and 60s, Tiki culture, classic erotica, 40's and 50's pin up girl art, space age culture, monster fan culture, music of all kinds, vintage toys and comic books and so much more.

Music:

THE DAMNED are my all time favorite band!!! Some other artists I love are FRANK SINATRA, SCOTT WALKER (and THE WALKER BROTHERS), THE BEACH BOYS, THE CRAMPS, DAVE VANIAN AND THE PHANTOM CHORDS, ROB ZOMBIE, THE DOORS, THE MISSION UK, THE STYLE COUNCIL, ELVIS PRESLEY, BAUHAUS, SIOUXSIE AND THE BANSHEES, X, BILLY IDOL, THE BEATLES, SISTERS OF MERCY, STRAY CATS, JUDY GARLAND, DEAN MARTIN, and ISSAO TOMITA.

Movies:

I love so many movies, but here's a sampling of the films that make my world rock... THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL (1959 version), BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, BEDAZZLED (1967 version with the genius team of Peter Cook and Dudley Moore!), SON OF DRACULA, SOMEWHERE IN TIME, BEACH GIRLS AND THE MONSTER, THE HORROR OF PARTY BEACH, KISS ME DEADLY, THE BAND WAGON, THE LAST MAN ON EARTH, any 60's BEACH PARTY movie, DR GOLDFOOT AND THE BIKINI MACHINE, CITIZEN KANE, THE SEARCHERS, THE SEA HAWK, HALLOWEEN, THE GHOST AND MRS MUIR, HEAD, MODESTY BLAISE, OUR MAN FLINT, DAY OF THE LOCUST, KISMET, AN AMERICAN IN PARIS and THE HUNGER. Some of my favorite movie stars and actors include Errol Flynn (The Man!), Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Judy Garland, Vincent Price, Boris Karloff, Peter Cushing, Tyrone Power and Marlene Dietrich.

Television:

Love a lot of classic 60's TV like THE MUNSTERS, THE ADDAMS FAMILY, BATMAN, BEWITCHED etc. but currently watch HEROES, SMALLVILLE, LAW AND ORDER: SVU, the CSI shows, DANCING WITH THE STARS and SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (my guilty pleasures!), MEDIUM, GHOST WHISPERER, MOONLIGHT, PUSHING DAISIES and BOSTON LEGAL amongst many others.

Books:

Mostly enjoy a good biography or autobiography, but my favorite novels ever are TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD by Harper Lee and I AM LEGEND by Richard Matheson.

Heroes:

Errol Flynn and Anton LaVey have both been a major influence in my life and I'm happy to talk about either anytime. Abbott And Costello - nobody is funnier than they were! Neal Adams and Alex Ross - the greatest comic book artists ever. Hugh Hefner (Hef, you rock!). Let's not forget Batman and Elvis Presley of course ;-)
