Xanthoma was a side project between Morgueazm guitarist; Gramie Dee and Blood Money bassist; Dale Lee. It started out as a full band project but as time passed they decided to shelve it and re-form Blood Money. Blood Money is still an on-going concern for Dale although Gramie is no longer involved. Xanthoma now appears on MySpace just for the Hell of it.
Xanthoma was predominantly a doom project but it also had elements of death and thrash metal. The guys needed a vocalist who's talent embodied the range of these three elements and so recruited the aid and participation of friend Sean Nelson from Tennessee death metal band; Diabolical Dismemberment. The tracks were created by first recording the guitars, bass, keyboards and programmed drums using a home studio in the UK, then Sean recorded his vocal tracks using a guide track in his Tennessee studio. He then sent the vocal tracks on CD and Gramie mixed everything down. A full album was recorded this way, over one hour of decaying doom, destructive thrash and rotting death. So the boys like to think.
