JAY LARGE

Producer Jay Large is from Glasgow, Scotland UKHe first started producing beats around 1989 and began to work with other artists around 1994. Jay decided to set up his own little label and produced and released a few EP's and an Album by UK artist Junior Disprol who at the time was known as The Ehf.Jay spent 3 years at Stow College studying Music Business and left college in 1997 with a Diploma in Music Business Management. Part of his course work ment that Jay had to set up a post as an interim which he did with Tommy Boy Records he was offered a role to join the marketing team at Tommy Boy in New York this was arranged by the head of Tommy Boy marketing and promotions Martin Davies who had a UK office at the time.Due to family committments Jay was forced to abandon his plans to spend 6 months with Tommy Boy. He then set up an interim post with New York label "Tape Kings" who at the time where running the whole underground network in NYC distributing all of the hottest Mixtape DJ's which included DJ Evil Dee, Mister Cee, Doo Wop, and many more, the label already had Finsta and Bundy on their rosta and added Group Home and a few other artists. It was an experience to go and work in New York but again unforeseen circumstances forced Jay to get out of the Music Industry altogether.10 years later and with his unforgotten passion for making beats Jay decided to dig out his old vinyl and get back into Production. Jay has also set up a new label "Still Diggin" which in 2007 released the Limited edition and vastly popular "Temple Of Breaks" album which took 20 of Scotlands hottest Producers and Beatmakers and showcased them all on the one project.
