I've been singing/songwriting since my primary school days. When I was younger my older sisters and I would write ten minute musicals and force our mum to watch us perform. My main influences were the usual divas, Whitney, Mariah, Mary J and Lauryn Hill. As I got older I was into more old school Motown and Blues, the music my Mum used to play.
I featured on the Yorkshire Terrierz debut album 'Blended In West Yorkshire' before I was made a permanent fixture to the crew. Yorkshire Terrierz are a hip-hop group based in Chapeltown, Leeds. The group consists of four main members, two mc's, a producer and one vocalist. Dogge, Low-Key, Menza and Rae Rae.
The video for the single 'What's Ya Life Like?' is finished and the ..Stripes’ video is in the pipeline. The album from which they are taken 'Nowt Tekken Out' will be released at the end of 2007. This album will be self funded like the first album.
I started working on my solo baseline project when I got my first beat from Nastee Boi, to which I wrote “Less of You!†After the positive feed back I got from the track I decided to continue recording to Baseline/4X4 tracks. Listen to some of the few remixes that have been done so far on my player above^^^. And keep an ear out for the others.
