MR, Michael Ali Gilmore is a drummer who has made a name for him self in the music world with tastey licks ,unstoppable grooves & versatility, that get the job done, making him a first call by musicians.
Mike spent his early years hanging out at The Front Row Theater with drummers such as Steve Ferrone, Sonny Emory , and Ike Whiley. Mike has since worked with artist, Fastchester,Raggae Nation Band, Ronnie Love, The East Coast Drifters,Clevelands own R&B group The Kats, and the Cleveland All-Stars gospel singers.he 's also recored "ALL SONGS" on rock power trio Fastchester,s latest CD "Phycho Magnet" that was fun he say's though he's no longer with the band.
not to mention his theater work backing up off broadways hit play, Once On This Island & 2006 gospel play Mary Dont You weep,
Mike is also a big part of Cleveland's TV scene now. Michael is currently House Drummer for Teddy's Dancing TV Show a up coming already TOP Rated show in Ohio, & A first choice hired gun for Clevelands own R&B eight piece show band "Hot Property"who will apear on the show sometimes in january of 2008.
He loves to play many styles of music; what ever it takes to complement the nature of the song.
Jazz and Funk are his two favorites, but Jazz & big band artists such as Maxwel Roach, Buddy Rich and Tony Williams were his first influences.
He studied jazz at Cleveland State University & took lessons from the Grammy award winning Dazz Bands" Ike Whiley," those of which will last forever.
