Chris Wilson

Christopher Wilson born in Cleveland, Ohio. I've been involved in music for as long as l can remember. My mother would drag me to church every Sunday morning and to choir rehearsal once or twice a week. Music was always played at home by my parents and my sister so I got a variety of music from blues, gospel, R&B, James Brown, Al Green, the Jackson 5, Walter Hawkins, Andre Crouch, Parlamint/Funkadelic, the Crusaders B.B. King, Earth Wind and Fire, the Ohio Players and so on. About age 11, my voice teacher recommended I should take piano lessons because she heard me playing melodies on the piano. Soon I enrolled into the Cleveland School of the Arts and the Cleveland Institute of Music. This is where I was introduced to Jazz Music. After high school I furthered my education at Jarvis Christian College [Hawkins, Tx] in Music Education and the University [Denton, Tx] in Music Theory. I've been writing, arranging, producing and performing my own music for about 15 yrs.
