THE FORMING OF ROUGHMUTE:
Roughmute are a 4-piece Punk band from Falkirk in Central Scotland. Cock & Plug formed Roughmute in the summer of 06’ after another band they had played in had just split up. After askin Treble to join they set out ti play stinkin fast noisey shite aswell as more ska & reggae influenced stuff.
As time went on, some cunt called Fatty ended up on drums. We had a few practises with him but eventually he stopped showing up and shit so we chucked him out the band and began looking for an other guy who liked bashing things. After a bit of searching for a drummer, a half-man, half-yeti came out from hiding, it went by the name of Cree(the hairy basturt)and loved ti play the drums and xbox. So Cree ended up oan the drums and that wis how it aw came aboot.
Once gettin aw 4 members of the band we then started ti practise more often and recorded oor first EP - "Feels Like Eatin A Jellyfish". It had 5 songs on it that were recorded in 2 days. We recorded it at Chime Studios in a really scummy part of Glasgow....the tiolet in the place wouldnt flush but everyone just pissed in it anyways so you had to hold your breath while takin a piss...you could smell it in the vocal booth bit tae. was gid...
So noo we’re just kicking aboot playing gigs, havin a gid time and writing new songs for our next CD that we’re hoping ti record pretty soon, so aye lookout for it and in the meantime get yersel doon ti oor gigs and find out for yourself how shite we are!
