The spotted history of Fat Ben and the Looters.
2004 was drawing to an end, christmas lights were up, the thermometer was down, and piss poor tunes were dripping out of the cupboard room, in what used to be, ColourSound. Fat Ben and the Looters were beginning. Ben, Nips and Steve fuckin sucked.
After something like 6 months and the addition of Wee Steve (now current Steve might seem kinda short, but dont be deceived, this is a seperate Steve)... anyway.. after 6 months of learning how to actually write a tune and play it without Ben kicking over the drum kit in rage, we were ready for our first show.
Bannermans, july 26th 2005. Voices cracked, guitars clicked out, drums tripped up and some how a good night was has by all. The Looters were blooded!!!.. and kinda ready to maybe play a little over the next year.
So we did.
Almost 2 years later (i skipped a bit.. if you missed it, your loss): 1 crumby recording under the belt, Wee Steve out, Doogs in and some bitchin' shows played... we're ready for ya.
Come down a show and see us, heckle us, jump like degenerates, stumble onto the stage and cave my teeth in with the mic, but most of all enjoy it. This is punk, it ain't the army. No ones gonna bitch slap you if you express yourself. At a gig we can get back just a little bit of the freedom we loose every day, come down and make it count.
OH . . . the aforementioned recording is available at gigs for the mere price of £3 . . . or if ya wanna go really D.I.Y. send us a message and you can send us sum well concealed notes! 7 tracks for £3? Cant grumble at that can ya? New recordings are in the pipeline!!!
See ya in the shit, Ben, Steve, Nips and Doogs.
