Influences: So many to give homage to...I have to say my biggest influences are Jill scott, Vivian Green, Olu, Common, Mos Def, Talib Qweli,N'Dambi, Erykah Badu, Raheem Devaughn, Raul Midon, Etta James, Kindred, Music Soulchild, Rafeal Saadiq, India Arie, Les Nubians, Earth wind and fire, Q-tip, Amel Larrieux, Laisha, Jennifer Lopez, The Roots...etc. The list of the visionaries goes on for miles but know that they have had a huge hand in shaping the person i am and the person i am growing into. I will never forget to give thanks to The one above for waking, crafting me into who i am and guiding me continually and lastly, My mom. No one has come close to the person she is in my eyes.
Sounds Like: A rush of neo-soul swimming in other various genres. At times you may find some alternative and at other times you could encounter some R&B infused with hip hop and big band or tejano. I always have some smooth jazz going on, but i truly try not to play into a specific genre. I love difusing the myth that music is or should be put into a category. I create what feels good to hear by any person's standards. It certainly makes me feel good. Its what moves me.
