One Man Stand are...
Ant on lead vocals/guitar,
Chris on bass/backing vocals
Jan on Drums.
Chris replaced original bass player Noz after Noz decided to dedicate more time to his first loves, cider and kebabs. He also plays bass in the great Spitting Dummies.
Jan first played with Ant in a band called Desperate For Attention (DFA) for short of which he says we were truly one of the worst punk bands ever. Ant has also played for another Stockport based band called Karnage Grinder who had the pleasure of supporting such bands as Dr & The Crippens and Napalm Death.
One Man Stand are always great to see live, they are old school punk but have a slight twist. They have an EP "Bulletproof available on NoiseAnoise Records. They have also recorded two demos, which are now out of print, but can be downloaded in full from their website www.onemanstand.co.uk They are still writing new songs for an album, which will (we promise) be out soon.
Reviews
ONE MAN STAND - Bulletproof (Noize Anoize Music)5 tracks of medium paced tuneful punk from this Lancashire based band. Unlike Noz the bassists other band (R.B.H.) this lot can actually play and offer some decent tracks on this c.d. Not a million miles away from the sound of early Snuff albeit without the harmonies and a good introduction to the sound of the band on c.d. Well worth checking out live as well. If you put the disc in a p.c. you get a bonus video track which for some reason or another wouldn't work on my p.c. so I can't tell you what it is. For more details go to www.onemanstand.co.uk

ONE MAN STAND - Stand Up And Be Counted
This This and the other One Man Stand CD are great because they only cost a pound each. They are DIY produced, and done well, the CDs are better quality than those CDRs that just fuck up after 2 plays. There are 4 songs on this EP, of what one would describe as no-frills punk rock with a kick. The songs are nice and simple and make great listening. See other CD review for continuation of the review.

ONE MAN STAND - Stand Up And Be Counted (from the band)
4 lively numbers which remind me of something but I can't think what if you whow what I mean. I liked this a lot more than their last ep (which Steff reviews last month). A lot better quality recording and the vocals really stand out especially on "Another Way" which for me is the best track and it just goes to show that you don't need fancy equipment/production etc. to make great music. ONE MAN STAND - TAKE YOUR CHANCES
This CD (the second in the series) is similar to the first one and contains a neat little lyric sheet, like the first CD. This release sounds better; there is a noticable progression. It contains my favourite One Man Stand song "Done My Time," which is about prison and love. The song "Gangster" contains a class lyric, "Gangster Rap? What the fuck is that?" The lyrics are very honest, real representations of life in the streets, these guys are clued up, and they know their stuff. Two great EPs from these DIY Stockport Punkers. Keep up the good work. You can go to their website and order their CD's at- www.onemanstand.co.uk.

ONE MAN STAND
After a great live performance, 2 cracking EP reviews in the zine, I (Luke Bee+) decided to interview the lads via email, Helsinki to Stockport. Read on to find out about their worst gig they played being our gig, favourable words about kebabs, the truth about Leeds United and The Macc Lads, great stories and down to earth comments from the band. This is the best interview I have done and there are some class comments from the lads, Enjoy and after check out their site at- www.onemanstand.co.uk
