Death Men Die were formed in the winter of 2006, in Blackburn, NW of England by two former members of Boredom. Guitarist/composer Steve Clarke & singer/songwriter Dani. Influenced by post punk, industrial dance bands like Killing Joke, Nine Inch Nails & Front 242, they embarked on what was originally (in dani’s eyes) "an experimental side project", (a situation steve was never really happy with) because it was "more ultimately the culmination of years of investment & hard work, than just an experimental project": Invoking dark influences, the music explores repetitve tribalistic, industrial rhythms using natural & synth generated percussion, combined with heavily laden synths, dark pounding bass lines & driven guitars minipulating unorthodox chord structures, layered with abstract vocals which do nothing to hide the bands malicious intent. However after just 12 months & a handfull of gigs, steve decided to go ahead with plans to move to the Dordogne in the SW of France to forge ahead with Death Men Die & also to compose music for film & media. Dani has reformed Boredom (see myspace.com/realboredom). Steve is currently remixing tracks to be uploaded to this site in the not to distant future & is going to reform Death Men Die in France. . . .
