PEACELOVELIGHT-damnit!!! Ok, so those that know me realize that I am still working on the finer points of my spirituality, being an angry-pacifist and all!
I'm complex in my simplicities, or just simply complex.
Mad about my eccentricities. Love, food and music are my ecstasies.
I am a pantheist in the truest sense, embracing all beliefs, all goddesses and gods, every petal of the lotus that enfolds the beautiful jewel of insight at it's core.
Passed a goddess by the roadside
where she cried upon the curb
disturbed that she no longer curried favor
with her believers
having tried on a new belief
leaving her in her grief, discarded
so I gathered her up in an embrace
wiping the tears from her face
and told her, " I Believe"
because my mother was a goddess too
so I knelt before her
and gave her her due
and taking her by the hand
to understand that
this is what I do,
salvaging the jigsaw, fragment, shards,
the folklore, remnant odds of faith
and make them my own
endearing the disowned, cast off and stoned,
I Believe!
I am the thrift store collector, resurrector
drawing on similarity, the familiarity
of difference,
dusting off the relics and curios
dusting off forgotten rites and those
forsaken trinkets of faith
pooled into my deepest collective
where unselective, my belief is in believeing
and I will be receiving any higher being.
Amassing the pieces of broken faiths
that lay scattered like battered children's toys about,
the only thing discarded here is doubt
because there is nothing archaic in wisdom,
nothing passé that brings knowledge
of the kingdom.
No god fearing, just an endearing
that there is more to come,
that this flesh is a mere passport to some
greater me, a greater we
upon a starry mesh where we
are ALL godly,
forbidden fruit so sweet and juicy
upon my chin.
Every space is a holy place,
so I dig through basements and salvage yards
to give regards and pray to thee,
each and every deity
that may offer any shard of light
towards insight.
Joyous pantheist,
spiritual opportunist,
gathering spent grains and mustard seed
rummaging through the remains
of any creed, in a revival, a reprisal
resounding in Om
from beginning to beginning
and if this is blaspheming and sinning
then sobeit.
Try to cage thought and I'll free it,
every mind divine threads in the weave.
Mine, is a mending love,
so, I'm sending love
to the dregs and the abandoned
amongst the pillars of the kingdom,
of the queendom,
to every soul having gleaned some
insight from even a particle of faith
of any sort.
Scavaging the dusts of creation for salvation,
seeking rebirth in the ancestoral celestial.
Exhumed from the womb
cradled in a nest of stars angelic,
manger relic newborn.
Shunning blind faith
for a faith that's blinding,
a thread of every god and goddess,
every deified title,
there are no false idols.
I'll kneel at the altar to ALL of them,
every totem, Judaic, Buddhist, or Moslem,
an embrcae of ALL of them,
an embrace of the mission of every religion,
every sect, every caste of the past, amassed.
Headlong and headstrong
wielding a splinter of light,
gathered crumbs to the sum
of sun's light,
this gathering tinker,
with the loose change of Hope in his purse
to buy into the Universe.
