About Me

S.T. has been the name of Choi Sai Ho’s one-man electronic music & audio-visual art unit since 2003. Choi Sai Ho received classical music training since childhood and obtained professional qualification from Trinity (associate recital in violin). He has solid experiences in orchestral music, rock & roll performances. He has also engaged in music scoring for independent films and collaborations with Hong Kong rock units False Alarm and Oliver. Sai Ho participated improvisation musical performance for "Cinema@The Lab" and live performance for "Electron (Music X Video Performance) @ Microwave International Media Art Festival 2004". He was invited as the special guest for "Sound & Visual Performance @ Microwave International Media Art Festival 2006" the same event again in 2006. For film music scoring, he engaged in scoring for video artist Rita Hui’s independent film "Red Riding Hood" in 2005 and multi-screens video work "Red" in 2006. As a media artist, his motion graphics work Escalator has been selected for screening by "VideoDance2005 festival" in Thessaloniki, Greece. His multimedia work "Psycho(s): A Live Remix" collaborated with media artist IP Yuk Yiu has been selected by "Courtisane Festival 2006" in Belgium, "the 11th IFVA 2005" Single-Screen-Based-Interactive Media Category in Hong Kong and "Perform.Media Festival" in Indiana University Bloomington, USA. Their another multimedia work "The Lonedale Hysteria" was performed in the latter event as well. Sai Ho’s two songs, "Weird Mind" and "Umbrella Tree", have been published in a recent compilation album "Boo" of an independent record label 89268. Sai Ho was selected as the first Hong Kong Chinese musician to join the Red Bull Music Academy 2006 in Melbourne, Australia. In 2007, S.T. was invited to have an audio-visual performance for Clot 3rd Anniversary Party by DJ Tommy, and 2 monthly shows in Pop Bites "Sound & Vision Jam" by veteran radio DJ & music critic Wong Chi Chung. In 17th August, he was invited to perform at the opening event of Sonatrope Film Festival in Kluubb. Sai Ho composed the theme song for Bubi Au Yeung’s toy figure Treeson and it was broadcasted during "Born 2 Be Green: The story about Treeson" exhibition as well. He engaged in scoring music for Heiward Mak (director of Sweet 17, scriptwriter of Men Suddenly In Black 2) first short movie "Lovers’ Lover" (the 12th IFVA Golden award - Open category). The "Lovers’ Lover" soundtrack is scheduled to release in September, 2007.
