Hopelessness(R.I.P)

The band was created in 2001. The music they played covered a variety of styles such as Heavy Metal and Brutal Death. These were in fact the styles which had defined Ihes Indar and Unholy Pain, the original bands of Hopelessness components. These origins led the band to a Melodic Death Metal with evident heavy metal influences with an aggressive touch, what distanced them from other similar bands.
In November 2003 they recorded their first demo Paradise of Sin. It was sent for its promotion to different record labels, magazines, fanzines and webs, and a few performances were displayed. It got a great acceptance among the audience and the specialized magazines, and they received really good criticisms. Nowadays its impossible to get this work.
The band adopted a gloomier and denser course, and semi black rhythms began to grow in importance without loosing the melodies and aggressiveness that distinguished them from the very beginning.
Imperial Darkness Records got in touch with Hopelessness with the idea of editing a complete album Broken Tears in Solitude. They started to record their new material in February 2005 at Sound Source Studios Continuo Renacer, Suffering Down,..- with Arkaitz Carrasco. After two intense months it was finally recorded. It consisted of 10 songs, of which some were completely new and some were restyled themes from the demo.
As part of the verbal agreement with Imperial Darkness Records the group assumed all the recording and editing economic costs and IDR had to take in the promotion and distribution of the album but this task wasnt fulfilled by the record label and no promotion or distribution were made, so the verbal deal was broken.
The bands not few great efforts have brought them to displayed some performances regularly, sharing those shows with groups like Numen, Misanthrope, Continuo Renacer, Cerebral Effusion, Dead Means Nothing, Caustic and a lot more, getting a positive audiences acceptance.
At present time, all the copies are paralysed in Hopelessness hands, so they are eager for every kind of proposition in order to help them in the distribution of Broken Tears In Solitude, as well as ready for future works.WWW.HOPELESSNESS.NET
