Aside from my job, my interests are reading, surfing the net, doing puzzles (crossword, fill-ins, Sudoku, whatever--I'm a junkie), writing (mostly poetry, sometimes prose, sometimes music), cooking (I'm not a terrific cook, but I kind of enjoy it...and my hubby just raves about everything I cook, so I must be doing okay...), and playing with our "children"--three adorable cats. We have C3PO, a five-year-old mostly-black female who has some Siamese traits (long tail, pointy face, thin but muscular build, very smart and talkative); Pica, a three-year-old black-and-white male who looks like a panda bear (or a Holstein cow); and Cougar, a one-year-old gray tiger female. They are a hoot. Naturally, I also love any time I get to spend with my adorable husband.
Already met him. Sorry, guys! But still looking for anyone who wants to be friends--girls or guys. If you're into music (Classical or any other genre), I'd like to meet you! This is a great place to network with other musicians and music-lovers.

Just about anything, except Gangsta-rap. I'm a symphony cellist so naturally I love classical, but I really don't listen to it much outside of work unless the hubby has it playing on XMradio, and then I scare him (and sometimes myself) by calling out the name of the composer and sometimes the title of the work within the first few seconds of hearing it--I'm almost always right, too. I also like adult contemporary/easy listening, and since I've been in Mississippi I've gotten into country music (I used to hate it...now I think it's cool) and classic rock.
Wow okay...so many to choose from...Dead Poet Society--carpe diem and Oh Captain my Captain...I just love it. Walk the Line was pretty good. Who knew Joaquin and Reese could SING??? Sleepless in Seattle was cute...I'm a cheeseball but I loved Titanic. Even the over-dramatic Celine song. In a completely different vein, the Bone Collector was also pretty good...although way creepy...I also like anything by M.Night Shyamalan. That guy is so cool!--and comes up with the most unusual and fun stories. So there it is...kinda eclectic.
I just love my Law and Order (and SVU) re-runs. West Wing...too bad it's gone. Commander in Chief--also got canned...I LOVED Homicide, especially when I lived in Baltimore and got to walk through the set every day. The CSI franchise is pretty good too. My hubby and I also like to watch MASH on late-night TV sometimes. I never liked it when I was a kid but it's pretty funny. Murder She Wrote is kinda cute and fun--sort of a guilty pleasure...Can't get into those reality shows--too phony...I also liked The Starter Wife on USA--it was another guilty pleasure like those smut novels women read in the summer on the beach--a little preposterous yet predictable, but kinda cute.
All of them. I'm a book junkie. I've read everything on my shelf at least 5 times. Always buying new ones...I had a Dean Koontz fetish a few years ago, but now I'm getting more into historical/religious thrillers and spy stuff like Dan Brown's books and stuff in that genre.
Goodness I don't know...Umm Jesus (okay, cheesy). My handsome husband (more cheesy). My cello teacher Misi Virizlay. Yo-Yo Ma. Johann Sebastian Bach. Johannes Brahms. Rita Guaspari (the woman on whose life the movie "Music of the Heart" was based). My friend (and cello section leader) Ben. Emily Dickinson. My parents.
