About Me
Alex Dj started djing in 1998. After some birthday gigs in his hometown Nova Gorica, he got his very first chance to play a warm up set in the privee of the ex-club Cream (Nova Gorica , Slo). Soon he started to do warm up sets weekly on Friday night. Soon after that he started playing on saturday nights with slovenian finest house djs: Aleksij, Dekky, Benjamin & others.In 2000 he become member of House spectrum, an organisation which is organising parties in Slovenia (club Marcus, club Cream, club Simfonija, club Columbus) and Croatia (Fort Burgignon in the city of Pula).
In the same year he quit playing at Cream and started a new night at club Marcus club with his friend Seby. The night went well and they decided to become known as Soul interactive. The night went on for a year.In the summer of Alex got a new residency at The Club (Izola, Slovenija) He played every Friday all night long. Beside this he was busy playing all over Slovenia: Marcus, Heaven, Simfonija, Columbus, Propaganda, Teater…During 2003 Alex and Seby did some very sucessfull nights at club Heaven on Friday with the local djs. They also played on Saturday night there for some time in 2002 - 2003.In the next years he rocked the crowds in many of the slovenian clubs (Sub sub, Propaganda, Columbus, Lipa, Simfonija, Heaven, Netopir, Patriot, Liberty...) and some clubs in Italy, alongside home and foreign djs: Paolo Barbato, Aleksij, Dave Manali, Shark, Matis, Eddy the fish...At the end of the 2004 he joined the Atelje party crew. Atelje party is a promotion group from Nova Gorica which organises parties in the Castle of Vipolze and the annual Odiseja party.In 2005 Alex started his own production with his mate Filip. Their tracks have recieved good feedbacks from people like Deepgroove, James Talk, Audiofly, Stu Hirst, Trophytwins, Mashtronic, Futureshock, Openair, Flash Brothers, Shlomi Aber, Eddie F, Jay Cox, Micky Slim, just to name few. With releases like LIGHTS OUT ep on Restart Digital (no 16 in the Balance chart!!!) & LIQUID FANTASY on Solis (no 2 in the Releae records promo chart!!!) and VENDETTA which was released on F-recordings backed with a Eddie F remix, 2006 ended with some exciting gigs all over Slovenia & Italy.2007 saw the release of UNDER on Fizzeek and remixes for MOHAWK's track BAD GIRLS and OPENAIR's hit ANTICLIMAX and the danish dj don TIM ANDRESEN plus some other remixes doing the bizz right now, they still have to show more in the near future! In the next few months look out for their remixes for the prog man STEL, a remix for the KRISTAL GLAM CLUB resident DJ ADRIAN EFTIMIE & a own single on the Canadian WIFI RECS.
So far those trax gained support from YVES EAUX, TRENT CANTRELLE, MASHTRONIC, JAY COX, ALDRIN, MATEO ESSE, DAMON G, DUMB DAN, TIM ANDRESEN, LIZZ CIRELLI, SIMON S, TROPHY TWINS, JIM RIVERS, STEVE MERCER of MERKINS fame and many others!
As for own original stuff be ready for a stunning collaboration with AMRICK CHANA & some more other fresh stuff!Their mixsets made the rounds on some of the world's most renewed radio stations: from FRISKY to DLA, KISS FM Romania, HOUSE FM, BASSLINE FM & the mighty MINISTRY OF SOUND RADIO!
Dj wise he rocked the PULSE festival alongside Paul Woolford, Maco Bailey, had guested in KURSAAL in Italy & SILUETT in Bolgaria & of course has pleasured the slovenian crowds too. And now he has also joined the PLAYCOLLECTIVE group from Argentina!Original Productions:
