LIZ CIRELLI aka DEXTRESS
Having studied music since the tender age of 13, Liz has music well and truly running through her veins. Originally a classically trained musician, it was at the age of 18 that she was first introduced to dance music. She has been hooked ever since.
Operating under 2 different aliases, you will encounter her either as Liz Cirelli, or Dextress. As Liz Cirelli, she is known for her truly mesmerizing techno – as Dextress, filthy, debaucherous electro is the name of the game.
With a sound knowledge of music behind her, Liz has the ability to write music that will deeply move you. A gorgeous Liz Cirelli collaboration with Kid Dub is out now on Ricky Stone’s 852 imprint, containing the highly acclaimed tracks Estia & Our Weekend In Norwich. A Liz Cirelli EP is due out later in 2008 on John Acquaviva’s prestigious Definitive Recordings.
Dextress’ much-anticipated and incredibly catchy collaboration with Kid Dub, is due out in April 2008, also on Definitive. Keep your eyes peeled for the video that will be accompanying the release! Dextress has also begun to make her mark in the world of remixes, the first of which is out now on Play Digital.
Liz also has a great passion for film scoring and writing music for media. She has currently just finished working on a project with Nokia, with past clients including L’Oreal, Redken, Berlotti Shoes, Forsblum Art Gallery (Helsinki), You Know Creative Solutions Ltd & TV Bomb. Such projects are constantly furthering her capacity to push musical boundaries, making her a rare producer & DJ in her own right.
Liz hosts a weekly radio show on House FM and also has a monthly residency on the increasingly popular Danceradio.gr, with previous residencies on Smoke Radio, Vision FM & Passion FM. Guests on her House FM shows have included a plethora of groundbreaking producers & DJ’s such as Olivier Giacomotto, Kid Dub, Greg Kobe, Kolombo, Ramon Tapia, Andrea Doria, Luke Slater, Ellen Allien, Ricky Stone, Miles Dyson, Aaren San, Perc, Pan Pot, Stephan Bodzin, Oliver Huntermann, David Ekenback, Guy Gerber & Ralph Lawson to name but a few. Her love for the music & natural flair behind the mic are rapidly causing her shows to become somewhat of an underground sensation.
Liz has also recorded as a session vocalist for numerous producers including, Olivier Giacomotto, Adam White, Graham Gold, Ferry Corsten & Nick Sentience. Tracks featuring her vocals have appeared on compilations including Trance Nation Deeper, Ministry of Sound - Spring Annual 2004, and Infinite Euphoria: gaining support from many DJ’s including Tiesto & Paul Oakenfold.
