Greenstar is:
Aaron Cromwell – Bass / Vocals. With influences like Jellyfish, Queen, Rage Against the Machine and Bobby Mcferrin, Aaron brings diversity and a solid bottom end to Greenstar.
Aaron has been playing professionally for more than a decade, and lists any band with a fat beat as his faves. He’s also influenced by anything clever or thought-provoking, so watch out…
Aaron made his first musical mark while living on the east coast of Canada. He played with the pop-rock band Heidelberg Fade, occasionally handling guitar and drums in addition to bass. After a couple of years touring around Nova Scotia, the band recorded a six-song independent EP and in 1998 won the East Coast Battle of the Bands contest.
Jeremy Rouse – Guitar. Originally from Alberta, Jeremy was raised in eastern Ontario in a family of country musicians. He started playing as a teen and paid his dues with hours of practice and gigs with local bands. He studied at Humber College Jazz Guitar program and played student showcases at Canadian Opera Company, The Rex Hotel, and Humber College, as well as clinics with the Toronto Teachers Association. Only the best students are featured in these performances, out of the few that actually pass the prestigious schools entrance auditions.
Jeremy studied with Rik Emmett (Triumph), Ted Quinlan, Hilario Duran (Cuban Juno winner), Kim Ratcliffe, David Occhipinti and studio legends Tony Zorzi and Paul Chapman. He has played with notable talents such as: country legend Steve Piticco, two time ECMA blues artist of the year nominee Matt Anderson, Jazz trumpeter Dave Douglas, African musician Waleed Abdulhamid.
Sean Doyle – Drums. A drummer for more than 12 years, Sean has performed throughout southeastern Ontario area over the past four years, including main stage appearances at Belleville’s Waterfront festival with Geoffery the Giant band in 2005 and Greenstar in 2006.
Sean is owner / operator of Pappa D’s Recording Studio where he’s recorded 100's of southern Ontario bands and solo artists. The studio released Pappa D's Weapons Grade Audio Vol. 1 in 2003 and Vol. 2 in 2006, compilations of artists who have recorded at Pappa D's.
