About Me

..

I currently work in Glasgow for The Herald, a Scottish daily broadsheet newspaper. Among other nefarious activites, I find time to write the rock/pop music previews for the paper's weekend previews guide Going Out, as well as doing other gigs reviews and the occasional interview. Going Out is availble every weekend from Thursday to Sunday at www.theherald.co.uk/goingout.

I also write music and play in some super-duper bands, including:

I Am Subsisty - limited edition Dodecahedron EP now on sale

Popcorn Fiend - soon to be gigging

Michael MacLennan (any other nonsense that doesn't fit into the top two projects)

There's some other amazingly interesting things about me, but they're all top secret; you'd probably be killed if you found out about them. With a rusty spoon.

My Interests

Music, music, music. Then film, film, film. I've also done a marathon and am trying to write a book; I like to think that I'm reliably incompetent or mediocre at most activities without becoming embarrassingly bad. I'm also interested in the human condition. That, and getting drunk a lot.
