About Me

First things first, the correct pronunciation of the name is G-Dough. Check out my blog to get the history behind the name if you want an unabridged version of its origin.
I love Detroit! There is no question that we have many challenges in front of us, but the city is coming back slowly, but surely. There are good people here though most media reports focus in on the few asses who give us all a black eye. Stayed tuned as the D is certainly not dead.

I love music; sweet, sweet music. I enjoy finding out about new artists; those who typically don't get radio play. Check out my friends below to learn more about hot indie artists.

I consider myself a great listener, though I must admit that it can take me quite a while to open up to others. I'm a great and loyal friend and I will do whatever I can to help my friends. I believe that I have learned how be open-minded and receptive to view and opinions of others. I can admit when I'm wrong and when others are right.
I'm a bit silly at times and I love to make people smile and laugh whenever possible. My sense of humor can somtimes be a bit over the top for some folks, but what can I say; it's who I am.
I'm a self made computer geek; meaning that I don't have any formal computer training, but I've taught myself how to do quite a few things. I love Jeopardy and Trival Pursuit (my friends tend to call me first whenever they need the answer to some off the wall question). I enjoy an occasional adult beverage (usually I'm sipping on Heineken with a shot to tequila on the side). I'll never refuse an offer or invitation to go to Xochimilco.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Just looking to meet good, down to earth, real people.

Music:

I love music. I remember pulling out my dad's albums and just listening to Parliment, AWB, EWF, the Isley Brothers, Donny Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, and Al Jarreau. A foundation in good music has lead me to appreciate what is good in music today: Maysa, Incognito, Lalah Hathaway, Penny Wells, Frank McComb, Ledisi, Rahsaan Patterson, Al McKenzie, Rachelle Ferrell, Fertile Ground, Brand New Heavies, Maxwell, Donnie, Eric Roberson, N'Dea Davenport, Hil St. Soul, Sy Smith, Brown Baby Girl, Sol Edler, Maya Azucena, Dwele, Kem and so many others.

Movies:

Godfather and Godfather Part II are classic American movies (Part III sucks!!) New Jack City, Goodfellas, Kill Bill Vol I and II, Blade, Road to Perdition, King of New York, Citizen Kane, She's Gotta Have It, Usual Suspects, Pulp Fiction, A Solider's Story, Purple Rain, Under The Cherry Moon (if you want to buy a Sam Cooke album, where would you go?), School Daze

Television:

Must see TV for me: Law & Order Criminal Intent , LOST, The Peoples Court, Judge Mathis (working on my J.D. in Court TV).

Books:

Finishing "The Tipping Point". I recently read "The Godfather Returns".

Heroes:
