Background vocals are my thing! I began virtually by “spur of the moment†with one of Washington, D.C.’s well-known jazz bands, Spur of the Moment and the momentum continued. Over the years I have been blessed to provide the background vocals for some of the most talented in the music industry: Maysa Leak, Ledisi, Lalah Hathaway, Natalie Cole, Vesta, N’Dea Davenport, Caron Wheeler, Sylver Logan Sharp, Tracy Hamlin, Andrea Dumas, Phil Perry, James Ingram, Isaac Hayes, Tony Terry, Glenn Jones, BeBe Winans, Najee, Patti LaBelle, Carl Thomas and Kim Waters to name a few. In addition, I have worked with some great music directors/producers: Gail Deadrick, Vincent Evans, Dawu, Michael Bowie, Del Atkins, Tony Walker, Eric Valentine, Greg and Gary Grainger, John Stoddart, Wayne Bruce and Chris “Big Dog†Davis. I have had the honor to record on Maysa's last two CDs: Sweet Classic Soul and Feel the Fire, as well as her not yet released “Live at the Birchmere†project. I also can be heard on Tracy Hamlin's CD entitled Seasons singing on "Heartbreaking Feeling." I currently sing regularly with Maysa.
