DJ GIO

Born in Bogotá, Colombia in 1981. Gio moved to Miami, Florida in 1999 where he began to pursue his career as Dj. Gio bought his first turntables with a friend and began throwing their first private parties at Lumonics (Ft.Lauderdale). Gio completed his Sound Engineering degree in 2004 at SAE Institute of Technology. Soon after, he began to make his dream of evolving as a DJ/PRODUCER next to his buddy DJ WADY who offered him support and knowledge.In his short time in the business many Dj/PRODUCERS have been fond of his creations and his talent has led him to spin in very well known clubs like: Nikki Beach, Crobar, Nocturnal, Amika, Tantra, The Klub, Club Cinema (Bogota), Chiringuito (Cartagena), among others; Gio was also a guest dj at Estacion Ibiza, a major electronic radio station in Colombia. His tracks have been included in a prestigious compilation for one of Miami's best clubs, Nocturnal. His first Single, Tribal Sampler Ep 1, came out under TWEEKD RECORDS and have been widely acclaimed. His style is highly percussive and varies between the House and Tribal-House genre.
