Band Members: In 2001 I went over to Kenya with some recording equipment. I went back several times after that to record Maasai music that had not been thoroughly documented before. With permission from the community in which the recordings were made I released Rhythm of the Maasai , a 15 track CD filled with traditional and contemporary music. Proceeds from the CD fund FREE adult literacy classes run and taught by the Maasai themselves. In 2006, with the help from artists LOW we were able to build a new school building for the students.
