I am here for Friends

About Me

href="http://www.msplinks.com/MDFodHRwOi8vcGhvdG9idWNrZXQuY2 9t" target="_blank"I have been totally disabled after being medically discharged from the Army in 1969. My life is dedicated to the memory of my best friend FRANK HAROLD BROWNE who was Killed In Action in South Vietnam on January 17, 1969. RIP Frank. I miss you each and every day.I am the descendent (on one side of my family) of German settlers who came to Texas in covered wagons before Texas became a state and of a Native American heritage from descendant’s on the other side who came to Texas by way of the “Trail of Tears.” I learned to carve wood at age six and later taught myself how to carve stone and bone. Being disabled doesn’t mean you can’t accomplish something worthwhile with the life you are given. It just means you have to take a negative and turn it into a positive. Having a talent for carving wood, bone, and stone is a natural gift that has allowed me to help countless people in spite of being disabled. Many people in the art world have tried to influence my work in order that they could make money from my work. I would rather have people remember my artwork for helping others rather than how much it is worth. It’s worth can only be measured by people less fortunate than myself and that makes it priceless. I have a private income and with all the time in the world from being disabled I am able to donate 100% of my artwork to be sold at auction to raise money for charities and people in need. I know from first hand experience what it is like to be in need. My life story has been the subject of national and international TV programs and has been featured in newspaper and magazine stories as well. My artwork can be found in the homes of some of the most famous people in the world. Many of whom I have had the Honor of meeting. Many of whom also show their support in my efforts to help others in need. If you know of someone in need you may contact me through My Space although it has become impossible to grant every request I will consider each and every one.In my lifetime I have witnessed in concert, Jefferson Airplane ( i.e. Jefferson Starship), Jimi Hendrix, Rolling Stones, the Beatles, George Harrison, ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Joe Cocker, Bad Company, James Taylor, Allman Brothers, BB King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Willie Nelson, Clint Black, and many others. I once carved a Deer Horn smoking pipe for Jimi Hendrix and gave it to him at a concert. At another concert I gave some artwork (painted Bull Skulls) to the members of ZZ Top. “That Little ol’ Band From Texas”. The best of the best! Oprah, Willie Nelson, Hank Williams Jr., Clint Black, Chuck Norris, Emmit Smith, and many others all have one of my Dreamcatchers. One very famous writer who never acknowledged the one I made for him turned around and wrote a book and made a movie entitled “Dreamcatcher.”I have been totally disabled after being medically discharged from the Army in 1969. I'd like to meet:

I have met President LBJ, General Omar Bradley, Emmit Smith, Jay Novechek, Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Robbie Knievel, Chuck Norris, and many others. I had the Honor and privilege of meeting Chuck Norris on the set of Walker Texas Ranger at Billy Bob’s Texas during filming of the very first episode of the series. My youngest son had a speaking part in that episode and bugged Chuck about what his real name was. In my lifetime I have met a President, some Kings and Queens of foreign lands, and many other famous people, but Chuck Norris has been one of the most memorable of all. Perhaps it is because we both share a Native American heritage of the same tribe, a love of Texas, and a lifestyle true to our own Nature. I not only made a Dreamcatcher for him I also made him a painted skull in Honor of our meeting.May 27,1990In 1990 my oldest son was critically wounded in a random drive by shooting. At the time I made a Promise to God that if He would spare my son’s life then in return I would devote the rest of my life to helping other people in need. To keep my promise about my son‘s life being spared I began donating 100% of my artwork to charities and any other people in need of help. My artwork can be found all over the world and in the homes of some of the most famous people in the world.
