I'm a fun-loving tax-payer, who loves to get his creative juices flowing.Biography: DARREN CHIN-YUE: Percussionist/Drummer/ProducerAfter being bought his first drum kit at the fragile age of three, Darrens awareness of the magic in music and creative thinking
had started, From a schoolboy age to post-millennium, he had been the beat master for various Rock groups, such as: Chinchilla,
which gave him great exposure to the music industry, ranging from Glastonbury Afterburner gig, Rock and beer festival, South
of England battle of the bands runner-up, management deals and record label interest. Etc.Darren then discovered House music and the power that comes with it when he moved to London in 1998. He transferred his
natural rhythmic grooves from the kit drums to the bass guitar and the appealing percussion instruments in the shape of Congas,
bongos and maracas and established himself as a DJs partner in crime under the pseudonym BrotherSnare.His percussionist achievements include playing and promoting Sub Logic every Thursday nights with Neil Stevens, under the
title: Soultans of Funk. Performing with Bassdriven (John Li, Pete Upton, Bruno Lawton & Al Greenway), Mutiny UK and Hoxton
Whores for K-Netik @ Heaven, London and Gatecrasher (with the no 1 DJ Tiesto headlining). Playing percussion for Bruno
Lawton at Orange Corner Café, Ibiza, Cheeky People @ Carl cox & Friends, Heaven. Richard M (Unknown Fm) Ben Logon and
Gary Cox (Soulworks Recordings) @ Sub Logic, Oxford Circus, Pete Upton and Al Greenway @ the Soho in Soho, London is
also on Darren's music Cv.
Darrens involvement with the project: Masse (the group) as the percussionist/Drummer has inspired him to enter the
challenging world of song writing and music production. With the groups amazing diversity, unforgettable grooves and live
stage presence, he feels this would have taken Masse to exciting places and back again, unfortunately, Masse disbanded
....R.I.P
2006 saw 2 residencies for BrotherSnare. The 1st was with Bassdriven and (at the time) up and coming talented DJ Dan Cabral
situated at Soho Bar, Greek Street, Soho. The 2nd residency was mainly in the summer season of '06 with just Dan Cabral and
BrotherSnare in charge, located @ Eclipse Bar, West Hampstead. That year also saw House nights @ INIGO Bar on Wandsworth
high Road (great venue) performing with Bruno, Brummie, Kish and Marxus.
2007 has already been the busiest year for the Percussionist, the Producer, the Promoter - BrotherSnare, with current House
nights under the name BrothersFUNKED (click on the Brothers myspace for more details).
