I was born and raised in Orange County... and it is not half as bad as the tv shows make it seem. Really at its most snobbish it may fall into the image that the movie "Orange County" made it out to be. But for me growing up, Orange County was a safe bubble. Suburbia at its most Norman Rockwell - at least for California.
I've always been independent, always personable, and for as long as I can remember, always a bit on the sarcastic side. Probably that bit of Irish in me. When I decided to go into the entertainment business (initially I wanted to be an actor - typical, right?) my grandmother (who we lovingly called the "Irish Bulldog") leaned across the restaurant table and said to me, "Now Sandy, you have to be real careful. Those directors can be real..." (this part she whispered) "jerks." This part she practically yelled for all the world to hear... "So don't SLEEP WITH THEM!"
This is the family I was born into... big, loud and more fun than God intended!
Most recent update on my life: got a job in the biz without sleeping with any directors (I keep my promises, grandma), writing for film and tv, still single (that's a hint for "Mr. you-should-show-up-soon,-'cause-somebody-else-might-sweep-me -off-my-feet-and-then-you'll-have-to-settle-for-that-'other' -person"), THEN I took the biggest risk of my life and moved to Nashville, TN! Where I hope to further my writing career and bask in the live music practically everywhere in N'ville =^) I have fallen in love with this town, and there's no turning back!
