About Me

To those who know him and have had the opportunity to work with him, its no surprise that SANTOS is on the verge of a major label deal. In this post modern era of hip-hop, it has become exceedingly difficult to find a voice that either compels or excels. SANTOS is that voice. Not only does he completely dominate the tracks hes on, (content, word play, delivery, etc.), but hes able to seem virtually effortless in either English or Spanish.Born and raised in San Diego, California to Salvadorian immigrants, SANTOS has been hard at work on his hip-hop resume for the past eight years. Two Thousand and Four saw SANTOS made his freshman debut as executive producer and emcee, alongside one of Latin Americas premier hip-hop acts, Pescozada. The result was Dialectos Nativos, (Native Dialects), an album that received extensive coverage on the BBC, Telemundo News, and through out the Spanish speaking hip-hop community. Dialectos Nativos has since been praised as a revolutionary step in Latin American hip-hop, for its production and content. Two Thousand and Four also saw SANTOS opening shows for acts such as Tego Calderon, Ivy Queen, and reggaeton heavy hitters Hector y Tito, where he as been able to further develop his strong stage presence and his ability to connect with the crowd, which his shows have become known for.SANTOS was able to advance his name recognition in the international hip hop community with his guest appearances on five tracks for one of the most important albums in the history of Latin American hip hop, Pescozadas 2005 release, El Teatro Plebeyo, (The Peasants Theater).Hard at work looking to secure a major label deal, SANTOS has spent most of 2006 in the booth for his solo debut which promises to be another milestone in not only his career but in Latin hip hop as well. With the ever-changing landscape of hip-hop giving way to more and more Latinos, SANTOS is poised and ready to claim his spot at the top.
