Hey all. If you're looking for the old dream coil tunes that used to be up here, you'll just have to wait until the new songs are posted on www.myspace.com/inmycoma . Justin and Laura continued with the band after the signing to The Pocket Recordings, but changed the name after the departure of Mat and Oliver. Some of your favorite tunes will still be used so check up on the new site constantly for further updates. Thanks!

Dream Coil is a rock foursome that connects the sound of their distorted guitars, punchy bass riffs, thunderous drumming, and harmonic vocals into melodic songs with astonishing musicianship and profound lyrics.
Made up of lead singer and guitarist Justin Johnson (21), guitarist Mat Donaldson (23), bassist Laura Jakubczyk (22), and drummer Oliver Johnson (16), Dream Coil provides energetic and heartfelt live performances. Despite their age, their music speaks volumes of their ability and connection as a band.
It has been two years since the members of Dream Coil came together and formed the rock foursome. Since the bands conception, the Dream Coil clan has performed at some of the best venues in Hamilton and Toronto, played with some major bands (both independent and label), and professionally recorded almost a dozen songs.
As well as gaining some exposure on major and college radio, Dream Coil was nominated for Best Out of Area (Toronto) Canadian Band/Artist at the Toronto Independent Music Awards, hosted by Josie Dye from 102.1 the Edge. As more and more opportunities roll in for the alternative rock group, the members remain in high spirits and look forward to adding onto their list of achievements.
The music throws a unique spin on rock, throwing kind and often gentle vocal tones with hard pounding rock riffs. Lead singer, Justin Johnson, describes the sound as a rock and roll orchestra, everything just comes together so well. Whether sad, angry, or joyful, all Dream Coil songs give a different, enthusiastic, noticeable hook. It is easy to see why so many fans (from Canada to the United Kingdom) like the music.
Every member of Dream Coil delivers a unique ability and style that through time will prove to be the most important aspect of this phenomenal rock band.
