red wine; Marilyn Merlot is my FAVE:
Being a shy stranger in a new place, new friends, REAL friends, are always welcome. I may very well be the most loyal person you'll ever meet...
Fake personalities and bacon bits need not apply, march on over here instead:
I'd like to meet anyone that can appreciate why I keep my cat's uterus in the medicine cabinet -- to scare off guests who get the urge to snoop around in there. I have a twisted sense of humor, but I'm harmless (mostly).
If you've seen May (one of my favorite movies) and you like weird, you'll applaud that. I find that movie particularly amusing since I work in an animal hospital.
Do NOT message me to criticize me;
If you don't like what you read or see, GET THE FUCK OFF MY PAGE...
you aren't welcome anyway; AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!
Act like an ass, and you lose your Munster privileges!
I can listen to just about anything but country, if necessary...but I prefer:
In general: 80's, especially cock rock. More specific: Motley Crue, Skid Row,
Nikki likes KITTIES!
Duran Duran, The Cure, New Order, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Depeche Mode, London After Midnight, NIN, HIM, Marilyn Manson, Queen, The Police, Prince, David Bowie,
(the real) INXS, Billy Idol, Rob Zombie, Type O Negative. But I also like to change it up and listen to stuff like Frank Sinatra or Harry Connick Jr, or maybe Annie Lennox, Tori Amos or Fiona Apple.
Much much more not listed...
I love classic movies, I envy vintage stunners such as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn, Vivien Leigh. I love pictorials of the history of Hollywood.
Gone With the Wind is one of my favorites; Streetcar Named Desire, Gypsy (`62 with Natalie Wood or `93 with Bette Midler), Breakfast at Tiffany's.
I adore Vincent Price, especially Roger Corman's Edgar Allan Poe series.
My little Mina obviously got her name from Bram Stoker's Dracula.
You can't go wrong taking me to a horror movie.
My favorite scene ever *giggle*:
Other favorites: Vanilla Sky, all things Tim Burton (well, not Planet of the Apes...), ANYTHING with Ben Stiller *drool*, esp. w/ Owen Wilson, almost anything with Adam Sandler, American Beauty, Clerks, Welcome to the Dollhouse, Quentin Tarantino, John Hughes, Crispin Glover (River's Edge, Willard), Coen Brothers (Fargo, Raising Arizona, to start), Christopher Walken, Labyrinth, Princess Bride, I can also appreciate SOME gushy-mushy movies like As Good as it Gets (Jack Nicholson) and 50 First Dates...don't tell anyone tho or I'll pound you! Lifetime Movies are funny too, like She's Too Young (that's when the whole school gets Syphilis, HILARIOUS) There's many, many more I'm sure I'm leaving out, but you get the idea...
Shamelessly addicted to Sopranos and Nip/Tuck
I also love old shows like Roseanne and Golden Girls.
(Sometimes I need background noise to fall asleep...)
Eerie Indiana, Pee Wee's Playhouse;
Real Sex, Ghost Hunters, Surreal Life
(even tho I'm slackin' this season),
I also love creepy educational stuff on Discovery Health Channel
My sister and I made a special trip to the Mutter Museum
after catching some of that on Travel Channel.
I haven't been reading as much as I should be. Prior to the move I had no time. Now I'm amazed I HAVE the time and can't figure out how to relax enough to enjoy reading. I'd love to dive back into reading about ancient history, especially Egypt. I have yet to finish American Psycho. I've also started Willy Wonka (quite difference in genre, yes?). One of my favorite books is the Phantom Tollbooth. Another favorite book as a kid:
I like kids books - collecting Halloween themed ones with great artwork, but I also have a soft spot for Beatrix Potter. My favorite illustrator (after Chas Addams, of course) is Gris Grimly. I also love short stories (Lovecraft, Poe) and fairy tales - the way they were ORGINALLY written (NOT for the kiddies!). I grew up reading that sort of thing, it may explain what went wrong...
