Drum & bass has been a way of
life for Rips for over a decade
Listening to jungle tapes at 11,
he just wished he was old
enough to go to a rave!
But at 15 and unable to wait any longer,
he brought the party to his bedroom
with his first decks....
The following year saw Rips getting his
first taste of playing out to a crowd
and the obsession was born.
He was soon spotted at a party and asked
to play on Code Red FM (SW London Station)
where he secured a weekly Saturday night show.

The past few years have seen Rips getting
to grips in the studio
where his tunes are heavily influenced
by the darkside dancefloor killers
that have dominated his DJ sets over
the years.
Frequently working with co-producer Blal
under the title Dubugly, the duo take the
oppertunity to bounce ideas off eachother
and push the limits of their sound
