Matt Stevens first appeared on the D&B scene under the alias Kompressor, winning BBC Radio 1Xtra's Cutting Room competition in June 2004, and featuring on the 'Best Of The Cutting Room' CD compilation, which was distributed to thousands who attended the 1Xtra Bass Tour in 2005. Having received good feedback from L Double and his then label-mate, Phobia, his production took another step up, and Matt began to invest more time and energy into his production, after returning to Plymouth due to Uni commitments Matt moved back to London, now having adopted Felon as a moniker. Under this guise, he started to get noticed by several labels and established DJs. Now, with several releases on Ennex Records & Sound Artillery, and forthcoming releases on Suicide Watch, he is making his mark on the world stage.
Felon is now receiving bookings to DJ Worldwide as well as the UK. Felon has also gained a residency spot at one of Londons top neurofunk events This Way Up run by Ruse Records, his live shows incorporate 10 years of experience and enriched with his own production of hard hitting neurofunk and tech back to back with the scenes leading producers are worth the wait to see him in your town.
