Gary has recently formed a partnership with John Porter in Malibu, California. Between them their production credits are mind-blowing.Gary has been an integral part of two of the most successful production companies in the industry: Stock Aitken Waterman - creating massive hits for Donna Summer, Kylie Minogue, Bananarama, Rick Astley etc. and Metrophonic for Cher (the Believe album), Enrique Iglesias, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart and many Spanish artists, to name a few.Prior to his work with these production companies he toured with George Michael on the Faith tour as musical director for Deon Estus following which he joined Nik Kershaw for a European tour with Elton John. His touring years ended with Climie Fisher. He has independently produced artists of the highest caliber including David Bowie, Simply Red, Donna Summer, Lionel Richie, Bananarama, Billy Preston and many others.John's production and mix credits include Brian Ferry & Roxy Music, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, The Smiths, Killing Joke, The Housemartins, Billy Bragg, The Alarm, Buddy Guy, Otis Rush, The Go-Go’s, BB King, The Stones, D'Angelo, Van Morrison, Jeff Beck, Moe, Taj Mahal, Keb' Mo' Ryan Adams, Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, R.L. Burnside, Jimmy Smith, Jon Cleary, Los Lonely Boys and Missy Higgins. He also is known for his involvement with Apple Studios in London in the 70s and his live John Peel sessions for the BBC in the early 80s and in the 90's he was president of Jericho Records and Cello Studios one of the foremost recording studios in the world where The Stones, Clapton, Elton, Chili Peppers, Tom Petty, Brian Wilson, Bette Midler, Enrique Iglesias - endless class acts - all recorded during John's proprietorship. Did we mention his 10 Grammy winners?John and Gary are working with Ron Alexenberg, former President of Epic Records who famously signed, amongst others; Michael Jackson, Sly Stone, Meatloaf, and, are you ready… Pope John XXIII.UNICEF have asked John and Gary to produce an album for their 60th anniversary in conjunction with the International World Peace Tour series, potentially featuring The Rolling Stones, Bonnie Raitt, Shakira, The Killers, Green Day, Cold Play, Eric Clapton, Sting... - in other words all the established and emerging heroes of the industry.
Currently they are collaborating with world-renowned songwriters whose songs have been hits for Beyoncé, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keyes, Keyshia Cole, Hilary Duff, Mariah Carey, Céline Dion, Britney Spears, and Will Young (winner of the U.K.'s Pop Idol).
