Born in the Dominican Republic, Xarah began her musical studies at the age of four learning the ins and outs of classical piano. At eleven years of age she wrote her first song and fell in love with the art of songwriting. She went on to complete her studies and obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Music specializing in Classical Piano.Xarah moved to Miami in 2002 was signed as an artist to Miami based label Respek Records and was also signed as a songwriter by Eman Publishing.Her self-titled debut album was distributed nationally by Universal Music and mostly contained songs written by Xarah and co-written by great artists and songwriters like Juan Carlos Perez Soto, Nadine Renee and others.After promoting her debut album nationally with live performances in Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Miami, Xarah has again turned her focus on writing for her upcoming album as well as other artists. Xarah has recently completed collaborations with great songwriters like Luis Fonsi, Claudia Brant, Patricia Cantu, Donato Poveda, George Noriega, Rafael Esparza, Fernando Rojo, Andres Saavedra, Angela Davalos, Ferra, Maria Bernal and Daniel Betancourt in addition to her recent English language collaboration with Jason Phelps, Patric Sarin and Jukka. Her compositions had been recorded by artists like Mariana Ochoa, Ana Isabel, among others.Very soon she will be releasing her new album with a new and fresh sound, meanwhile she continues writing for other artists too.
